Is this self-paced, or are there live calls?
Self-paced. Every lesson is recorded, and you can start the day you enroll.
How long is the course?
27 short lessons in 5 modules, 1h 46m of video in all.
Are there different tiers or levels?
No. One course, one price, and everything is included.
What gear do I need?
Philip walks through his own kit, with a budget option for the flash. You don’t need his exact setup to get the look.
What software does the edit use?
Lightroom and Photoshop, plus Photo Mechanic for culling. The Troveman heirloom presets are included.
I don’t have a baby to photograph yet. Can I still do the assignments?
Yes. You can watch everything right away, and the course shows you how to line up a free practice session. Most people start with a friend’s or family member’s child.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access.
What’s your refund policy?
If it’s not for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund, as long as you’ve completed less than 25% of the course and haven’t gone through the edit. Videos you’ve watched and handouts you’ve downloaded both count. Downloading the Edit Recipe, or watching most of Module 04, ends the guarantee on its own.
Can I get feedback from Philip?
Yes. Once you’re enrolled, you can add the Heirloom Business Review, a private 60-minute video session where Philip looks at your portraits, your pricing, and your website, for $397. It’s limited to 5 reviews a month.
How do I pay?
One payment by card through Stripe. No subscription.
Can I use this for other kinds of photography?
The lighting works for other portraits too. The course is built around heirlooms.
