The guarantee, in plain terms
14-day money-back guarantee. Full refund if you’ve completed less than 25% of the course and haven’t gone through the edit.
Last updated October 26, 2026
The short version
If the course isn't what you hoped, email hello@troveman.com within 14 days of your purchase. If you've completed less than 25% of the course and haven't gone through the edit (more on both below), you get the full amount back. You don't have to explain yourself, and we won't try to talk you out of it.
What counts toward the 25%
The course is the lessons and the handouts, so both count. Your percentage is made of two parts:
- The videos, 60%. The share of the total runtime you've actually played.
- The handouts, 40%. The share of the 19 handouts you've downloaded. The complete handbook and the .zip contain all of them, so downloading either counts as all of them.
So watching half the videos, or downloading most of the handouts, takes you past the line. Your dashboard shows your number as you go, so neither of us is guessing when you write in.
The edit
The edit is the heart of the course, so it has its own rule. Either of these ends the guarantee, even if you're under 25% overall:
- Downloading the Edit Recipe. It's the whole edit, start to finish, in one handout. The complete handbook and the .zip include it, so they count too.
- Watching 75% of Module 04, The Edit. Measured the same way as everything else: the parts that actually played.
You'll see a note before either one: on the download itself, and on every Module 04 lesson.
Why there's a threshold
This is a digital course. Once you've watched it and downloaded it, you have it, and there's no way to give it back. The threshold lets the guarantee be generous to people deciding whether this is for them, without it becoming a way to take the whole thing for free.
How the videos are measured
We count the parts of each lesson that actually played, not how far along the scrubber got. Dragging to the end of a lesson does not count as watching it, and rewatching something doesn't count twice.
How to request one
- Email hello@troveman.com from the address you bought with.
- Say you'd like a refund.
- We'll check your course percentage and the edit, and if you're still covered, refund the full purchase to your original payment method.
We aim to process refunds within five business days of your email. Once we've issued it, your bank or card issuer controls how quickly it appears, which is usually another five to ten business days and is out of our hands.
What happens to your access
Access to the lessons and downloads ends when the refund is issued. Files you've already downloaded are yours to keep in the sense that we can't reach into your computer, but the license to use them ends with the refund, and sharing or reselling them isn't permitted. See the Terms.
After 14 days, or past the line
The guarantee has run out, and we'd normally say no. But write to us anyway if something has genuinely gone wrong: a charge you didn't recognize, a lesson that won't play, a purchase made twice by accident. Those aren't refund requests, they're problems, and we fix them.
The Heirloom Business Review
If you buy the optional Heirloom Business Review, it's fully refundable any time before the session is held. Once the session has happened it isn't refundable, for the obvious reason. If you need to move a booked time, tell us as far ahead as you can and we'll find another.
Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes months to resolve, where an email takes a day, and we have never once refused a refund that was inside the guarantee. If you've already filed one, we'd still rather hear from you.
